getting old nintendo merchandise and games is probably the most expensive game company related collection you can get. most ds pokemon games can range from $70-100+ cad and often are priced up more when paired with the case; gba games like rse run on a battery clock that's usually dead long before you buy; pokewalkers are always a mixed bag, but never less than 60 cad.

i find a lot of joy in collecting little trinkets and things from art i like. even if it drains my wallet i still love it. but, through perusing the homepage and items page, you can notice my collecting tends to be very pokemon-centric.

i'm not really sure why? even as my interest has started to fade through the years, i just always gravitate towards it like it's home. other franchise merch here are kind of in the same boat, but not as intense, or just one-off things i found joy in.

i haven't bought much for my collection in the past couple months, mainly because i quit my job in september, and money from any job i'm looking for/at in the future is gonna be directed towards college savings. my teenage years of free spending are ending!! i may even start selling some things if it comes to it, but there are definitely items i'd never be able to part with because of pure emotional attachment :S

the last item i'm probably going to be adding for a while is twinkle park's 'to touch, or be touched by' ep cassette tape. it's one of my favourite albums and i've been a fan of hazel's for quite a while so i'm really excited to get my hands on it! i originally wanted to order one last year but they sold out before i even knew they were a thing lol.

for future items, i'm first looking to get more pokespe box sets. there's some on amazon that are the easiest to grab but they go for like $60-80 so right now it's more of a dream... the more reasonable one i have in mind is the pokemon heroes vhs and cd. i would prefer to get the japanese version because it has scenes that got cut out by 4kids on english release.

another thing is any sort of pokemon mystery dungeon merch. even though literally my favourite game ever is eos, i've scarcely bought/looked into anything from it except for the game itself!! i feel like figurines fall into that category; the main problem with poketoys is they're really hard to position on a shelf without it looking like a lined up army staring at u.
